Home-School Agreement

As a student I will:

  • Attend school regularly and arrive at registration on time.
  • Bring all the equipment I need every day.
  • Wear the correct school uniform and be tidy in appearance.
  • Do all my class work and homework as well as I can.
  • Be polite, respect and care for others and their property.
  • Keep the school free from litter and graffiti.
  • Work hard to achieve targets set with my teachers.
  • Help other students by allowing every teacher to teach and every learner to learn.
  • Behave well on the journey to and from school.
  • Follow the Behaviour for Learning policy and behave well in and out of class.
  • Care for my planner and record all homework details.
  • Pass all letters, newsletters and reports to parents on the day they are issued.
  • Talk with parents and teachers about any concerns in school.
  • Support all School Policies, including the policy which does not permit mobile phones to be used or seen in school.

As a parent I/we will:

  • Take an active interest in all aspects of my child’s school life.
  • Ensure that my child attends school regularly, on time and is properly equipped for learning.
  • Communicate to school all relevant information which may affect my child's work or behaviour.
  • Notify the school if, for any reason, my child cannot attend.
  • Encourage my child to follow the school's Behaviour for Learning policy and support associated action taken by the school.
  • Support the school’s policy on homework, provide suitable facilities at home, and encourage my child to make the required effort.
  • Do my best to attend target setting days, parents' evenings and other meetings at which my presence is required.
  • Support all School Policies, including the policy which does not permit mobile phones to be used or seen in school.

The school will aim to:

  • Care for your child’s safety and welfare.
  • Ensure that your child fulfils his/her potential as a valued member of the school community.

  • Keep you informed about general school matters and about your child's progress.
  • Offer opportunities for you to become involved in the daily life of the school.
  • Insist that all students observe the school’s behaviour for learning and anti-bullying policies.
